It's kinda silly to get so worked up over a drone. Are they seeing anything that a nosy neighbor with a ladder and a pair of binoculars couldn't see? If it was a person in an ultralight, would you still look for ways to shoot it down?

Keep your blinds shut, don't have people walking around naked on your property. Unless you're a nudist, and then, why would you care anyway? ;)

The back is FLW type architecture in a wooded setting.

You aint gonna see **** from the road or w a ladder.

No nudists, just young and pretty daughters.
Just a drone.....not like bad stuff happens from stalking.

Photographing happens everywhere, everytime someone is out in public. A mall, a restaurant, Walmart, Meijer, wherever. People are constantly taking pictures, covertly or overtly. It especially happens to young and pretty girls.

You going to try to stop every one of them, on the basis that that they may turn into stalkers?

*******s like this “pilot” flying around residences at 1 AM are a small part of why FAA is instituting Remote ID, which is likely to wreck the drone hobby. Of course, as Leadeye often says, “follow the money”… Remote ID is mostly about getting drone hobbyists the hell out of the way as Amazon (and others) begin to use UAS to deliver packages.

I would hazard on the notion of “reasonable expectation of privacy.”

Had drones fly over / by my residence......no worry.
    High enough and passing through.

They didnt come to the center of my property and hover outside a window.

Buzz up and down the road.....have at it. Fly over.....go for it.

    They aint doing that.

The problem was at a different location, size and layout making this deliberate.

In your residence at 2 am a drone flying up to your window aint cool.

My concern about a stalker is not of worry, but of experience.

Try to determine the most likely hover location being used. Ghillie suit lying in the grass, 870 loaded with bird shot. BlackmailHawk Down, they'll never know what hit them. The three esses still apply

I don't know... I'd think that might draw unwanted attention.

The factory camera on my drones can't see in the dark too well. Few if any drones are equipped with thermal. I'd love it though!

Now if the peeper was looking into a well lit room from outside at night then maybe it could see into a house. It would need to be pretty close though. There's only a couple with camera zoom capability.

I often help video the Run-n-Gun events, flying and chasing after participants, circle strafing them, etc. A Mavic with zoom would work fantastic.
