As an aside, Revere's Riders runs an informal rifle match at Camp Atterbury (military side) later this year: 2nd Annual Marty Brown Memorial Rifle Match. We are attempting to create a perpetual trophy (or trophies) for this event out of rifle parts. Think of a barrel being the central "pillar" of the trophy. We are also considering creating a "most useless crap on their rifle" trophy; if you've got useless rail-mounted crap, we want it!

One of our volunteers will be making a nice wooden base with brass plaques for this trophy when we get the rifle parts together. There isn't a formal design for the trophy, so I can't really say what we want/need at this point. However, if you have old rifle parts that you think might make for an awesome trophy, hit me up. If you'd like your name on the trophy to memorialize your donation, I'm sure we can accommodate that.

    Thanks!

I have a few sets of spring pins for gas tube/blocks. Some people refer to them as roll pins. The factory size is 5/64" X 5/16", these are 5/64" X 3/8". I used a couple on A2 front sights and minimal if any protruded.
I also have a few #2 taper pins for barrel/gas block. These are factory size #2 X 3/4" long. All are Made In USA.
If anyone needs some, let me know and i'll send you some in mail. Specify what you need.
    Thanks, NVG

If you are willing to ship, I will take the a2 grip.

In return I offer up 2x new mag springs for p226 15 round magazine. Never used, great for a mag refresh.

Also I have a 45 degree offset picitanny mount and a offset 1” flashlight mount. These are the cheap versions you get off amazon. Probably wouldn’t mount a sight to them, but for a flashlight they worked ok.

Everything shipped for free, just shoot me a pm.

Bump. Just trying to keep the pay it forward thread going. I really liked the idea when I first saw it on m4carbine.net. That's why I started it here. It never has month long dead spaces there.

I just got this 3X magnifier on a PIF offer for my SBR.

Please keep up the good work spreading the wealth around if you have something you don't need.

I have a 13 rd magazine for a Sprinfield XD in .45 ACP if anyone needs one.

I got this idea from another forum I am on and thought I'd see how it went over here at home in the Hoosier state.

I have some extra gear laying around... and its free to a good home, as long as you have something to give out as well...

The idea is not to compete with the "for sale" items, but to share with our fellow gun enthusiasts. I'm l
oving the giving there and would like to see it thrive here. I hope to benefit, but I also want to contribute. I have requested Pay It Forward "PIF" over there, and have also given items away. Sometimes (most times) it's something small you just aren't using, but there have been times a generous soul would offer up Aimpoints, and Noveske barrels... Be kind, give stuff away, ship it on your dime... The idea is to share, so don't be the guy that offers up a PIF of a "new-in-wrapper MRE spoon" after requesting a high dollar item. I don't have a bunch of nice stuff laying around right now, but if you could use any of these items, just post up, then offer your item as a PIF. People can share names and addresses via PM so privacy is kept.

These are the items I have to offer as my meager PIF items to start the thread:

    1. A very nice set of Hogue overmolded grips for a 1911. There is nothing wrong with them. I thought I would like the grips, but it turns out they make the grip a bit too fat for my stubby fingers.
    2. A 6 position collapsible stock (receiver extension with stock, buffer, spring, and castle nut) Not a big bran name part, but it's new and I never installed it on anything. Spoken for.
    3. A .45 ACP Springfield Armory XD mag.
    4. A new in package HI VIZ front sight for an XD.
    5. A YHM flip up rear sight. Spoken for on the other site.
    6. I have 5 A2 style grips.
    7. A set of carbine handguards.
    8. I have 2 new carry handle mounts to forward mount an Aimpoint on.
    9. I have 2 Molle II M4 double mag pouches. Spoken for.
    10. A pistol lanyard.

Please just let me know if any of these items can be useful to you.

And yes, I still have the new-in-wrapper MRE spoon too.

OK people... I think we are losing the spirit of the thread here. I decided to quote the OP. The idea is to share some unused "GEAR". This is a gun forum. I understand there is a classified section for non-gun related items, but this pay-it forward thread was intended to be "gear" related. It was to share gun related gear with our fellow enthusiasts, not as a way to get rid of you unsold yard sale junk.

Take a look at where I got the idea for the thread...

Please, I know money is tight, bla, bla, everybody wants something for nothing bla, bla, but this is a chance to take something we aren't using, and pass it on. If we can't even promote some good will within our own community, how do we convince the anti-crowd we aren't decent people?

Keeping the thread alive. Found a commercial spec buffer tube, retaining plate and castle nut in my parts bin I don't need. The starting threads on the tube is a little peened but goes on fine and doesn't damage the threads on the matting surface. I've had this on several rifles and never damaged a lowers thread.
Face to face in Warsaw or pay for shipping.

I have a factory magazine 3 shot plug for a Remington 31 12ga. Most of the writing can still be read. Wood with paper label wrapped around the shaft. It would be neat to have one to complete one of these nice old shotguns.

I'll even ship it to someone who needs it.
