Wanting to know if anyone has any experience with the Savage 64 FVXP.
It comes with the scope package and has the button/target bbl in blue steel, 10 detachable mag with syn stock.

Looks like a nice rifle, but was wanting some input before purchasing.
    Thanks in advance!

    I have a Mark-II F with a Mueller APV. I love it.

I really like my tac driver.. Be aware that a fair number of people complain about Savage quality control and costumer service, hit or mis it would appear. Check out the Savage section at rimfire central.com.

I'm extremely pleased with my Savage MKII. It's been flawlessly reliable, and it shoots 1/2" - 3/4" groups at 50 yards, without having to resort to the more expensive (relatively speaking!) brands of .22s. The Accutrigger is a real joy, light and crisp. I may never buy another bolt action rifle without it. I like the heavy bull barrel, gives the gun a solid feel and a balance I really like.

I liked mine so much that Cathy, my wife, went and got herself a Savage Model 93 in .17 HMR. It's been every bit as reliable, and she easily shoots 3/4" groups at 100 yards.

For around $250 we got good looking, trustworthy rifles that are more accuarate than we are, complete with scopes. I think that we got an outstanding deal for the money we spent.

As a matter of fact, we both liked our guns so much that when Sean, our son, brought home straight A's, we went and got him his own Mark II, though his doesn't have the bull barrel.

I think it may be obvious that I unreservedly recommend Savage .22s :)
