Any recommendations for soap/chemicals for a power washer to clean the siding on a house?

TSP (trisodium phosphate).

Trisodium phosphate (TSP) is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula Na3PO4. It is a white, granular or crystalline solid, highly soluble in water, producing an alkaline solution. TSP is used as a cleaning agent, builder, lubricant, food additive, stain remover, and degreaser.


That some good multi-purpose stuff.

@jedi, if you use a power washer be careful. Spray at 90 degrees to the house with low pressure or you might force water under the siding. If you have mold/mildew use 1 cup oxygenated bleach to 1 gallon of water. To just clean use 70% water, 30% white vinegar. A long soft brush starting from the bottom working up. The cleaning solution may harm your landscaping, the oxygenated bleach is supposed to be safe for plants.

Ok, I've never cleaned siding but that is a summation of what I found online.

Good luck and don't use acetone unless you're doing your nails.

UPDATE: MEET N EAT SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY APRIL 6TH AT AURELIO'S IN CROWN POINT AT 2PM Setting up another meet n eat to coincide with the next Crown Point gunnshow. April 6th or 7th and going with a couple pizza joints in Crown Point as meeting places. Hopefully this one will work out better...
