Was it the electrical rate that went up?
jedi's bill for the past 3 months has gone down nut so has the electrical usage.

Sep $172 for 18 units of gas, 747 of electric

Oct $136 for 17 of gas, 521 of electric

Nov $123 for 30 of gas, 344 of electric

Seems strange that one can double thr gas and not be affected.

as for NIPSCO I had an outage. Eh, it happens. But getting told 'crews are on site! restoration in 2 hours!' got really REALLY old after the second day.

Worked there in the past. Obama set measuring mercury standards that were near impossible to measure. $$$$ to install the equipment at each gen station. Not saying that they are perfect, but government cost industry a ton of money. But when the gen stations go down, and the solar ramps up, at least the day time rates should drop, but profits will be sustained by the night time rates.
I have REMC electric and NIPSCO gas, so I don’t really feel your pain.

Are the rate hikes really only nipsco? I can’t imagine with the current events that most energy is going to raise even if not at the same rate

Really your whole stance could be boiled down to choice… choice to have an abortion choice to own a gun choice to involve yourself in drugs and/or prostitution. I too prefer freedom straight across the board.

But as already stated…. Politics will still involve itself with you even if you don’t involve yourself with it.
