Morning Pete. Meeting a friend for lunch at the Merrillville Florist and Tea room. Never been there before.

My wife had breakfast there with all the bridesmaids and such before our rehearsal.

Bad case of hating humidity

Merrillville Florist and Tea room is a beautiful place. Food was 3/5 at best, but atmosphere was 5/5. There are multiple rooms and they are all decorated in a very fancy eclectic Victorian-ish style. Most ladies would love it, I think, from little girls through grandmas. I went with my mom (in the blue) and a friend of ours.

In other news traffic out of chiraq was not that bad 2day. Lalapaluza statyed today.

It's the time of summer when your spring gardening work starts to pay off. There were two yellow squash this morning but the suburban squirrels got one today. Took a few bites out of it and left it laying on the ground about 20 feet away. Squirrels gotta go!

Of the last three days replacing cedar lap siding, today was definitely the nicest.

Hot as hell in the shop today. Got home hit the pool. 86° outside temp and 85° pool water. Just get out at 75° outside temp with a 15mph wind out of the north.

More like I got out the pool!!!

It was, however, the 1st ever medal in Women's Foil Fencing by an American.

Men have previously medaled in Foil fencing. Men and Women have previously medaled in Saber fencing, both in team and individual events. Honestly don't know if the US has ever medaled in Epee fencing.

And yes, if I was her coach then she would be watching Olympic fencing on livestream. I'm a beginner coach and I can get someone up to a lower level national rating, but I'm not good enough beyond that point.

I did go north of US30 today to have lunch with an international level fencer/medal winner, and generally fun fencing coach. I think he invited me to lunch because I am pleasant to be around and generally have a nice demeanor
