Our baby ate a reasonable amout of food in the hospital today.

He is breathing on his own, but it is still labored breathing. There is no O2 assist, so that is actually a good sign.

It is possible he has allergies

It is possible he has asthma

It is likely he has some form of a reactive airway disease, he was given steroids this morning and it seemed to help so that is a sign. Very likely he will end up seeing a pediatric pulmonary specialist.

At 15 months old he has had this problem 3 times. Likely related to his mother's cocaine use, total lack of prenatal care and his very premature birth. He is still small for his age, but mental development is on track to possibly ahead of his age so he is tiny, smart, and apparently has bad lungs.
Would a nebulizer be the ticket?

    How are yall's allergies?

We've never ever been this f'd up ever... Been miserable for well over 1.5 weeks.

I drove though my forest and the cottonwood is so bad it looks like snow

I was sitting in the garage and saw the neighbor doing something with one of those long propane grill lighters. He was lighting the cottonwood buildup on the edge of his driveway, and it would burn quickly in a line, like gunpowder, till it reached a gap in the line. He was just goofing around, but he said cottonwood was really messin with his allergies.

I didn't realize it was so flameable.

Ps. Hope you feel better soon.

Glad to hear that he is getting better while continuing to pray for a speedy recovery and solid diagnosis.

Might be a stopgap for the powder shortage.

Probably saved my wife's life today or kept it from being a run to ER. Falling a dead tree in a tight area, making my final cut, quick scan with peripherals, and she comes bebopping in the drop zone. Stopped the saw and yelled.

Got a new tiller from Rural King and it works very well. I ended up not paying attention to what I was doing as I was more concerned with the boy touching it and ended up with 2nd degree burns on 4 of my fingertips.

In other news anyone looking for a 38spl LCR?
