I spent yesterday in Indy at my daughter's. Had lunch with her and we made three batches of fudge. Just a nice family day.

Stopped in Lafayette at Rural King on the way home and got some 12 gauge and .22lr.

    Successful day all around.

Nissan cut the semi off, causing it to roll over on Nissan. Nissan driver killed.

UPDATE: 1 dead in rollover crash involving tanker

    https://www.nwitimes.com/news/updat...q6-nM_mZ00SvQx5qTxbatjhx6Rf6oilBfTkeTiWUSa1dc

    Hum... wonder what occured.
This article gives a bit more detail.

    https://regionnewssource.org/one-dead-after-tanker-roll-over/

So Nissan driver either suffered a medical issue which made him lose control or could have been on phone and not paid attention.

Doubt we ever find out with the horrible reporting.

This will reflect on the semi-driver, as the maximum weight allowed on IN highways is 80,000 unless you have special (read expensive) permits. And you have to be able to "scale" that 80,000.

Well, the article said something like, somewhere around 81,000.
Instrumentation errors are often allowed at 1 percent, depending on the application. This includes load cells.
    1 percent of 80,000 is 8,000.
    .1 percent of 80,000 is 800.
So that could easily be instrument error of .1 percent.

Well, if the driver had a dashcam...

I've seen A LOT of people on youtube dashcam videos cutting off Semis. Sometimes probably not thinking. And sometimes obviously trying to cause a problem.

If the driver (passenger car) was being an idiot, I only wish he had time to regret his decision.

    okay.
I added 2 squirrel traps to the 1 raccoon trap.
And I put a game camera up, to see what's happening.

Also, my previous attempts to flood out a bees nest in the ground apparently just gave them a bath.
So I dumped a bucket of soapy water down first.
Then I put the garden hose into the entrance and left the hose running.

    Now we'll see what happens.

I think people that can't seem to drive, based on multiple problems, should have their cars confiscated.
Taking a license seems to do nothing.
Keep taking their car, maybe they'll eventually run out of money.

At this point you almost need a permit.
