Whatever did it was scraping the tree…. You can tell by the edges of the scrape. Could be a 2 legged critter….

Ove 50 years of driving trucks and construction equipment along with fork trucks.

Born in 1905, my dad drove nothing but manual transmission cars and trucks for decades. Everything from Model T's on up. When he retired in the 60's my sister bought him a new car with an automatic transmission. It was hilarious, he would just get going down the road about 20 mph and he would SLAM on the brakes with his left foot to shift.

Dad made me learn on a F100 with 3 on the tree. I wasn't allowed to get my license until he had me take him to a hilly road, complete stop on a steep hill, then take off without rolling back.
