Newest acquisitions

These are my 2 newest, picked this new 10/22 up last Tuesday at Gander Moutain in Fort Wayne.

I pick this Henry 22 magnum Golden Boy up tomorrow from another INGO member.

Its a Simmons 3x9x32 from their 22mag series, came with rings. GM has them for $49.95 the rebate knocks off another $10.

Both very nice rifles! Your going to love the Henry! I have a Big Boy in 44 Mag and my Dad has all the Golden Boy Rimfire caliber rifles, .22, 22 Mag and 17 Hmr. Great shooters and perfect hand me down guns.

That's one of the scope's I was looking into getting for my 10/22. I'd be curious to hear how you like it with the Ruger as you shoot more.

The scope itself is fine, crisp and clear with an adjustable focus for when you change magnifications. But it comes with high rings (at least mine did) which puts the scope about 3/8th inch too high for my hold. When I snap the rifle up I have adjust my cheek on the stock to get the correct sight picture. I am going to put some low mounts on it and that should correct that issue.

I shot the Henry today, just the right amount of bang with no recoil makes it a blast to shoot.

I was looking into swapping the rings (if I got the Simmons) with some QD ones anyways. Let me know what you think after you switch them out.
