Friend has an older .22 rifle he acquired years ago and knows nothing about it. Stock looks home made but who knows. Any help is appreciated.

My father in law had one of those, given to him by his grandpa back in the 40's. My son has it now, and as I recall, it has either the Stevens or Savage name on the barrel, but no serial number. And, the stock has no butt plate. Like Indiucky says, not a lot of value, but they are neat little rifles.

He said it has no serial number on it.
