I just brought home my new Walther PPQ that i had tucker sporting goods here in mt. Vernon order for me.

I can honestly say that it feels real good in my hand with the ego grip that it has. I will post some pics later when I get my camera back. I'll also give you guys a range report after this friday when i go to strickly shooting to test it out.

Congrats! mine should be here hopefully fri/sat...I've not been this anxious for a gun in a while.

I got lucky and the guy I bought it from had a RCS with it, otherwise I would have taken a look at the Kaluban Cloak as I've heard very good things about them and they have a fraction of the wait time Raven does.

yeah I knew mine would either be today or tomorrow so last night I ordered an imi defense holster for it. that should take about a week to get here. here's their website if you want to look at it.

    IMI-Z1350-Walther PPQ Polymer Retention Holster

it's similar to the blackhawk serpa holster design. I had been looking around for a holster for the ppq but all i had been finding were ones for the p99 and the ppq doesn't fit in those so.

Welcome to the club. It's my EDC. Prepare for it to eat your soul and your wallet. The weapon demands to be endlessly fed, at least 3000 rounds per range session. :D otherwise it will grow unhappy with you and your wanton abuse of it's emotions. Every time I take the gun out I love it a bit more.

Well as for feeding it I picked up 2 boxes of pmc 165gr ball ammo for practice and a box of hornady critical defense for when I start carrying, but that will have to wait till my LTCH arrives in the mail.

As for pictures that will have to wait till my niece brings back my camera, she borrowed it for a school project a few days ago so.

Welcome to the Order of the Holy Beacon of Light.

When I pull mine out of my holster, a beam of pure light breaks through the clouds and shines on my hand. As I raise it up, the angels begin to rejoice. Each pull of the trigger is escorted by a thunderous roar as lightning strikes in the distance.

    I like mine too!

Thanks for the info on the holster, I've been searching around a bit as well. I was considering a Serpa Blackhawk, but was worried about retention fit as well.

if you want to wait till mine comes in and I will be able to tell you about it,, how will it fits and if the retention is any good. From what I've heard the serpa holster for the p99 fits the ppq but not precisely like it should for a retention holster. I know that the trigger guard is diffrent between the two models and the fact that the ppq has the slide release on both sides as well, vs the p99.

When the holster comes in I'll do a photo review of it for you guys.

I'm rocking a DeSantis Speed Scabbard, black leather, other than beinflg a little creaky, it cost me a mere 50 bucks with shipping. With retention screws i can make it work for comp as well.

Nice! I have never been to his store. How much is a PPQ there?

maybe I'm a bit biased but the ergo's on this gun are really good, I have yet to come across any other gun that fits as well as the ppq. Some like the glocks felt a bit brickish for my hands, while other eitherr felt too small or too large. I have no problem griping the frame and don't feel as if there's no grip to the handle. the molded texture make sure of that.

As for complaints about the gun I don't have any yet as I have yet to shoot it, but that will be taken care of this friday and saturday.

Now if my ltch would just come in this week I would be a happy man,, but with my luck it won't arrive for several weeks.

Anyone know what night sights will work on the ppq?

Trijicon, walther factory NS (same as PPS), and meprolight...the P99 sights are the same for the PPQ.

    A couple holster options:
    http://www.ravenconcealment.com/hol...dular-holster/phantom-modular-holster-walther
    - Reason I like raven is that you can easily convert from IWB to OWB
    http://www.calsentllc.com/KalubanCloak.html

I'm not a real big fan of the black hawk style holsters, I would advise to look into a couple other options for anything else than a range holster...google "serpa ban"

I use a Blackhawk Serpa for OWB and a crossbreed for IWB. Bradis found my PPQ fit the Blackhawk for the M&P since there isn't one for the PPQ yet and it fits and draws great. I did do some holster searching for myself and came across this company International Handgun Leather

They have some nice looking holsters for the PPQ, and I'm about to order one from them. Beware of getting P99 holsters beings the trigger guard is different on the PPQ. Be sure to check out Hooch Holsters (site supporter) also.
