I have a few on mine. I would prefer if the ignore function actually made any evidence of the person's post completely invisible to me. Having a thread riddled with "this post has been hidden" messages can be distracting, and I'm often tempted to click "view post" only to be immediately reminded why I put the person on ignore in the first place.

This. Especially with that chez guy...ugh.


Everyone is on my ignore list. I do that because then it makes INGO look AND feel like my own personal playground.

There are several here that simply cannot respond to any thread without being holier than thou. Being a smart ass is one thing, and I'm fine with that, but the ones who insist on telling the rest of us how dumb we are? They'd be gone if I were a mod.

I don't use ignore, I just ban! Seriously though, for what reason(s) do you use the ban option? Is it for people with whom you disagree or because they insulted you in some way?

It's not that complicated. It's simply a matter of whether or not someone irritates me enough to compromise my enjoyment of my time on INGO even a little. I don't care why or how, but if it bugs me and it's ongoing, it's going into my IGNORE filter. If it irritates me (and this is general on purpose) enough the first time, the IGNORE filter can and has been implemented. There is no agenda nor are there criteria. It just happens or it does not.
