I am new to muzzleloading and a friend of mine just gave me a CVA bolthunter magnum, but it needs some work. The person he got it from has really messed up the breech plug, it looks like it has been drilled on and cut with a dremel. We cant get it out. I was also wondering what primer does it take. I would like to get it fixed before muzzloader season. Thanks in advance.

I recomend not shooting it until you have a good smith look at the gun. A weak breech plug could blow out, and make a good day go downhill really fast.
