caleb.. it's a ring... put it in its box, and stuff the box in one of the pairs of shoes you have packed in your luggage. or in your dopp kit. or wrapped in one of your shirts. some place you won't lose it and she won't see it when you're unpacking at your destination.

i'd be willing to bet you could even put it in your carry-on luggage, but there's a higher risk she would notice the box at some point. Unless you're carrying it in your pocket, security guards aren't going to worry about a piece of jewelry.

I didn't know if it sets off the beeper with it in your pocket, althought they want you to clear your pockets.
