I didn't think anything was out of the ordinary about this article until a friend told me that local FDA and USDA inspectors were getting tactical training at a local gun range. Now Marines are becoming Law Enforcement.

Not to sound paranoid, but is the administration getting Federally controlled groups prepared and ready, allowing them to enact Martial Law if the elections not go in their favor?

Just too many things happening that have never happened before

Ok, fun aside, just what is the problem?

    1. The Marine Corps has organized themselves like this before. I'll let the Marines here comment on its wisdom.

Are you worried that the Marines are going to be pulling people over on 465 for speeding or something?

"Get out of the vehicle, numbnuts, and give me twenty diamond push ups!"

    2. All kinds of feds get firearms training and have so for a long time.

"Tactical training"? So they are learning to use the firearms they will be carrying? Sounds good to me.

Ipad auto spell check is wonderful, gets me in trouble all of the time.

Feds are discouraged from using firearms at the border, so why bother training them? Unless you are turning them on your own people, then that is okay.

Marines are design to destroy the enemy, somehow I feel I am the enemy in the eyes of the present administration.

I read this article on drudge the other day. My wife actually pointed it out.

The article speaks about this policing being a role the marines played years ago but abandoned it officially meaning they merged it with another department IIRC. The policing is aimed at foreign soil such as Iraq and Afghanistan. Probably Syria at some point in the future.

The article also pointed out that all military branches are trying to come up with special programs to avoid the pending budget cuts.

The article also stated that there were 500 IIRC but honestly I skimmed it Saturday and paid little attention to it.

I looked but the article isn't on the drudge app any longer.

They are creating two battalions, about 2000 Marines total.

And remember that the Marines, as part of the Navy, are not under the Posse Comitatus Act (PCA) thus can be used in the US as law enforcement.

But the big restriction is that there are only 250,000 Marines.

I believe the coast guard is also not part of PCA.

    I'm curious

I wonder how many INGO members are taking "tactical training". Has all the talk about "tactical" stuff, from firearms to cooking pots, and the near-insistence that the S will HTF blown the cover? Is this unique to INGO or is it just one chapter of a 'net-wide conspiracy loosely linked to other forums? Could this mean they are planning on taking over the internet or will they start with a particular ISP?

Can a tinfoil hat be turned upside-down and used as a cooking vessel?
