I want to buy a long range tripod but not break the bank. Looking for suggestions of something solid but not $600.00

Ask some of the coyote hunters. Rookie comes to mind.
Sant Claus Optics has some that I think will outperform the BOG for not horrible prices.
I run a BOG. Had to put a riser on it to make comfortable for my height (6’2”). It is definitely entry level IMHO. It works, but could be more solid for a shooting platform.
The saddle is nice for different guns. I’m not convinced a ball head and ACRA mount wouldn’t be better for my purposes.

I've had this one for a few years it's worked fine.

You might find it cheaper by googling "Innorel RT85c"

At the SHOT SHOW, there were a lot of tripods with a ball head. I didn't appreciate the purpose until they demonstrated how quickly you can make the gun or spotting scope vertical without constantly adjusting the legs each time you move it on even slightly unlevel ground.
