I know two people that have had vehicles stolen this very same way. DON'T WALK OFF AND LEAVE YOUR VEHICLE RUNNING WHILE YOUR "JUST GONE FOR A SECOND"!

But but but officer.....I just ran inside to get a coffee and it is cold so I left my car running.........Idiot.

Edit......yes. Lock the doors. Junior can let dad back in.

If my kid is in the car, you can forget about me chasing your stolen vehicle. As in I wouldn't even think about it. If you had a kid in your stolen car, then sure, but there's no way in hell I am risking my kid over your property you didn't even care enough about to lock.

For you ford owners. You can change the setting to when you leave the vehicle running and the fob is not detected then no one can move the shifter to any setting other than park. You use forscan and it's a free software and you can also change anything else you want about the vehicle. Make sure u save a backup of the original before you do anything.

Ive got a toggle switch in mine that allows me to leave the car running and take my keys. It wont come out of park and kills the engine if you hit the brake before the key is reinserted in the ignition.

    Could be anywhere
I have the keyless entry system on my expedition. Never walk way from I unlocked...or unarmed. If there's any family inside it's going to be bad for the looser trying to steal it. :draw:

I always have an extra key in the truck or in my pocket. If I do have/want to leave it running, I lock it up.
