If they're gonna ask some of those personal questions, I think you have every right to troll them. For present occupation/employer put pornstar/pornhub. For How Long? put uh, "I dunno, I never measured it. Maybe 7" or so?"My name got pulled this year. Some of these questions though aren't things I want to answer.

I'm not sure why you would be hesitant to share what church you go to.
What about having jurors pissed that they are making $15 per hr to be there and the guy next to them is making $115 for doing the same thing?
And to be clear there is no animosity here. My matter of fact delivery is sometimes mistaken for being an a-hole. Sure, I can be one, but not all the time. (and not now)
So they check with every state to see if you've sued or been sued? For victim they would have to check every PD in the nation pretty much.Because it's none of the government's business. As far as the lawsuit and victim questions, the government already has that info.
I think it's still something like that. That was in reply to the suggestion that every juror should get paid their normal daily wage. Are they paid $15/hour now? The last time I served on jury it was $25/DAY (plus lunch).
INGO,GOA,NRA....Have fun with questions 8 and 9, they'll leave ya alone.
It's already been pointed out how it can be.Because it's none of the government's business. As far as the lawsuit and victim questions, the government already has that info.
My religious beliefs don’t allow me to openly disclose to non-believers.Can you please explain exactly how it's an infringement on your religious freedom?
They go by more than just the voter registration list now, drivers lic/ID, among other things such as property tax rolls not quite sure what else.
What about having jurors pissed that they are making $15 per hr to be there and the guy next to them is making $115 for doing the same thing?
At least in my county, voter registration is just one component of selection. BMV records and property tax assessments are also included along with other databases. All citizens should have the burden of jury duty, not just registered voters. It’s a poor excuse for our legal system. Jurors regular daily pay should also be part of serving. It can be added to the normal court costs. When you have jurors pissed about missing regular pay, you’re not doing the defendant any favors for an impartial jury. Just laying out a little reality when a jury is setting in the conference room deciding whether you get life or the death penalty on a case.
Simply asking doesn't infringe. And your religion must have a hell of a time attracting new followers. Do y'all use a secret sign to recognize each other? Handshake? Wide stance maybe? My religious beliefs don’t allow me to openly disclose to non-believers.
the $15 an hour. Juror needs to better himself to get the better juror pay.
... where do you think the Court budget comes from?
...The reality of the matter is that jury service is a civic duty. Just like voting. People need to participate so that our system of democracy can operate. I get it's inconvenient, but I don't understand the desire to get out of it. Do your duty, get it over with and hope you don't get called again if it's an imposition.
I think jury pay is just a one off. An excuse to complain.
And the legitimacy of my religion shouldn’t be questioned. We have the freedom to search out and practice our beliefs as we see fit as long as it is not causing physical harm.Simply asking doesn't infringe. And your religion must have a hell of a time attracting new followers. Do y'all use a secret sign to recognize each other? Handshake? Wide stance maybe?
And that still doesn't answer the question.
The government has my tax information already. Being a civic duty doesn’t bother me. I have served on a jury. What bothers me is the instances that it puts a financial burden on some that should not happen and the lack of a system that spreads that civic duty to all without exception. We seem to find sources of money for all kinds of crazy unnecessary projects. Digging up enough to make sure hard working civic abiding citizens don’t end up on the short end of a weeks pay should be easy. Doing my civic duty is to be a fair impartial juror, it shouldn’t include absorbing a financial burden along with it. If it’s impractical to expect to pay jurors their regular daily wage, I suggest it is impractical to expect hard working citizens to put their financial circumstances in jeopardy for a system that doesn’t see them as being worthy of being made whole. You put juror in a financially troubling position for a long strung out trial, you end up with the juror worthy of what you paid him.At least in my county, voter registration is just one component of selection. BMV records and property tax assessments are also included along with other databases.
As to your other contention, where do you think the Court budget comes from? How easy do you think it would be to determine what a particular juror's actual daily pay is? You don't want to tell them what church you attend, but you're fine giving them recent paystubs and a copy of your tax returns?
Those are just a few practical questions you might consider. The reimbursement system is what it is. It would be completely impractical to reimburse a juror their actual daily pay.

They arent trying to legitimize anything. They just want to know if you go to church, and if the case is tied to *A* church, make sure you arent a member/attendee with a conflict of interest. Thats all.And the legitimacy of my religion shouldn’t be questioned. We have the freedom to search out and practice our beliefs as we see fit as long as it is not causing physical harm.
I’m curious if these questions are needed for a fair jury and if so does that make all juries previous to the introduction of these questions invalid? If not, how did the previous juries keep from being invalidated from the lack of these highly accurate means of gathering an impartial jury. Either the questionnaires provide the only usable means to get an impartial jury or it doesn’t.They arent trying to legitimize anything. They just want to know if you go to church, and if the case is tied to *A* church, make sure you arent a member/attendee with a conflict of interest. Thats all.
You're inferring WAY more than is there. Stop making mountains out of molehills. They just want to know if you are a churchgoer or a soulless heathen.
Or just refuse to answer the question and possibly waste a trip to the courthouse to be asked the question in person and excused, wasting everyone's time.
