Kind of a cross btwn Jeopardy and those dreaded high school history tests.

This will be a thread for general firearm facts only not opinion. Anyone is welcome to submit. I think maybe a spin the bottle style is best to keep things going. If you answer the question, ask the next one.

This is disigned to increase knowledge across the membership not for an F-Class shooter to embarass jacks like me. :D

How many rounds were the early "6-shooters" loaded with? Why?

    It's called humor.

Early "six shooters" where carried with only 5 loaded chambers due to not having hammer block safeties and leaving the hammer down on an empty chamber was the safest way to carry at the time. :patriot:

Sorry. One more try to avert blatant threadjack and get the questions rolling:

Which one of these does not contain an X... XD or Glock? (hint: rhymes with sock)

Glock 18? Because it's full-auto? Or Glock 7 because it's ceramic and costs more than you make a year. :):

    I'll stick with guessing 18.

    Glock 18? Because it's full-auto?

Is it the .380 model since its not available in the United States

Nope. It's the Glock 19 in caliber 9x21.

    From the Glock FAQ:
Perhaps the rarest of all Glocks is the 9X21 G19. Three special agents of the US Naval Investigative Service were being stationed in Italy with some work being done incognito. Since it is illegal for civilians to carry standard 9mm (9X19) weapons, Glock produced 3 model 19s chambered for the 9X21 cartridge. The pistols are marked with the new caliber on the frame and barrel and have serial numbers EN260US, EN261US and EN262US.

    The 219
Chrome Lined and Chrome Moly Barrels are different because....

Chrome-Moly barrels are barrels made out of Chrome Molybdemun, and that is the only material used in the barrel.
Chrome lined barrels are barrels that are made out of (usually) Chrom-Moly, but then coated with a pure Chrome lining making the barrels more durable and easier to clean. Even thought they are easier to clean, and more durable, they will suffer in the accuracy dept., from what I understand.

Why was the .40 chosen over the 10mm round?
