Single action army. Simple and very good at all the tasks listed. If you could only have one I would want one that is proven at keeping a man fed and safe.

My avatar. With your Glock, you will get the girls with tatoos, with my Kimber I will get the girls that smell good!

Damn, that's what I've been doing wrong. Packing the Kimber and shopping the "girls with tattoos." 1911's and "wild and crazy" have always been my weakness.

    which would it be?

Lets say in the future we were limited to only be able to own one.

Which would you choose for carry, shooting steel, home protection and anything else you use one for.

    What's your workhorse?

I DO have only one handgun, my S&W 3913.

Well, not counting the Bearcat I share with my wife and son.

4" S&W .357 with adjustible sights. I'd prefer either stainless or brushed nickle. But, if ti were my one and only, I'd have no problem paying for a reblue job every few years. You can plink with light .38's, carry hot 125 .357's and hunt with some heavy 158's or 180's. A binachi Pistol Pocket, a nice pancake for when concealment isn't too importiant, planety of speedloaders and speed strips and lots of reloading supplies and I"d be a happy camper!
