So, the homeowner shoots someone in the head as they are breaking into the home. The both are apparently females. He is spending time in Pulaski County, while one is in the hospital. While the details don't look super clear, this is retarded. If it's a good shoot, then why is he in "jail" right now? Methinks there is more to this story than meets the eye. Unless something is super slanted by the responding officers or it's a bad shoot, he should be free right now.

:rockwoot:They picked the wrong house to break into.

Only thing I find disappointing is they spent all those tax dollars putting her on a helicopter.

Wait the homeowner isn't in jail. McCord was the other person trying to beak in.

Sounded like perp #1 (Richie) was shot and perp #2 (Kayla) was in jail. The homeowner was not named.

Light on facts, but sounds like a good shoot to me.

As far as I know, medical flights are not paid by the government. I believe they operate under Federal Aviation Regulation part 135. If she survives, she will be billed for it. So, in this case, I don't believe the taxpayers are paying for it. Just trying to get the facts straight.

True, all the people who use that helicopter service will have to pay more to make up for her lack of being able to pay.

    Way to go, homeowner. :ar15:

The comments after the story are entertaining to read. I'm impressed that "Martha63" is able to turn a computer on.

For those who didn't see her lovely comment on the news site:

Sounds like she's a union worker...no wonder American car companies haven't been able to compete. You're worth what you're worth, anything else is socialism at it's finest. :twocents:

Hopefully that will deter some burglaries in that area or if nothing else it will cut that guys career short.

So if Richie dies, will McCord be charged with murder(fingers crossed)?

Under many felony murder statutes she can be. I'll have to look up Indiana's as some of the more "progressive" ones exclude codefendant's deaths or require that the defendant actually kill the person.

    Best,

    Joe

ETA: Indiana's statute IC 35-42-1-1 is not nearly as expansive as some. It does not appear that it applies to this circumstance

    Indiana Code 35-42-1
