    One is correct but they are both used on this forum, in magazine articles and manufacter's ads.

    So which one is it? Or bacon?

    It's brake, like the brakes on a car. It's meant to add drag to the muzzle to slow it down. Some people just don't spell well.

    I've never seen someone break open a muzzle brake. That could spell bad news.

    It's interchangeable, so both terms are correct just like clip and magazine, same thing

    So glad that is in purple, like calling bacon and chicken the same thing because you can eat both!!!! ROTFLMAO!!!!!!! oh help, my, my sides hurt.....
