This is the problem with libtards, they claim to be the intellectual party and know what is best for the people, but when it comes down to it all they care about is pushing their agenda even when it is contrary to the advice of the experts in the trenches (sheriffs), the wishes of the people, the available data, and the Constitution.

"Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid plans to meet with Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Joe Manchin in the next week to discuss the possibility of reviving the Senate’s dormant gun legislation."

Haven't you learned by now? Liberals know everything and know what's best for you. To hell with personal freedoms, just let the government protect you.

The Democrats want our guns. They are beginning to believe they will lose seats in both houses in the next election. So if they have any hope, it is now.

How do we still have members here that are so blinded by their love for the Dems that they continue to claim both parties are just alike?

If a revival is a whole bunch of spirit filled people singing praise to Jesus, and gun control is holding a gun with two hands, then a gun control revival may be exactly what Joe Biden and Harry Reid need. :) (not sure if they would make it out of that one alive :D )

Jeez. Except for .22lr scarcity, the market has stabilized. I doubt that this kind of headline will renew the stampede, but should these proposals look favorable for passage, it will definitely spook the herd.

We have a window of opportunity here folks. If you've been on the fence about buying that "assault rifle" or whatever, buy it soon.

I must have missed those posts. I do see a lot of both parties being the same but don't recall anyone espousing their love for the dems.

I'm an equal opportunity hater. Both parties suck. There's just a few individuals with a glimmer of hope who happened to be in the GOP. Ted Cruz, Rand Paul and Justin Amash. I don't see any of them being the nominee in 2016.

You can spin it however you want. The majority of Dems would institute draconian gun control. The majority of Republicans are fighting any new gun control. How are they the same?

I will add the disclaimer that the there are a lot of bad Republicans. A majority of Republicans want to do bad stuff at times. But the two parties are not the same.

For this to be a "revival" it must have been "dead" to begin with. This issue did NOT die, it was just left on the table until a more opportune time.

In the interim, Mr. Bloomberg and his billions have been assaulting Democratic Senators who voted against this as well as Republican Senators in what they see as "vulnerable" states with ads. They are also trumpeting so-call "polls" that continue to claim the "90%" figure. Mr. Biden is nation-hopping twisting arms at the state level trying to build a "groundswell" of support.

The trash-talking against the NRA and it's "gun-crazed, Adam Lanza wannabe's" is continuing unabated. The only thing that has pushed this all off the "front page" is the Obama Administration IRS scandal and the Eric Holder/DOJ seizure of AP and Fox News phone records.

But don't be fooled, this issue is STILL alive and kicking as long as there is a Democratic majority in the Senate and Mr. Obama is in the White House. I'm sure they are all hoping for another "Newtown" to use as leverage to finally push this over the goal-line!

I'm sure they are saying "...if only those Boston guys had used AR-15's instead of pressure cookers we'd have this passed!"

I'm not trying to spin anything. I just get sick of hearing how much anyone who doesn't like the GOP loves the dems.

I pointed out that I'm an equal opportunity hater. I didn't say the parties were the same in my reply. I agree with you that the two parties do seem to differ on their views on gun control but I for one am not a single issue voter.

The parties are way more similar than they are different but, as I said, I have a glimmer of hope in guys like Rand Paul, Ted Cruz and Justin Amash. If the establishment GOP can get out of their way, the party might attract liberty and independent voters.

And yes, there are some bad republicans. There are some good democrats too I guess although I can't seem to think of one. Well, in theory there's a good democrat somewhere. Probably named Waldo.

The problem here (which I also see in business) is that the goal is to come out on top, not by being the most superior but rather by being the least bad. Plenty of us are fed up with the RNC telling us we will take their handpicked pseudo-democrats because we don't have a choice. Some of us have told them that if they don't want to offer acceptable candidates, they can get bent.

They will never slumber, they will never rest, they will never cease to pursue until what they want gets done or until they die.
Which, unfortunately, could happen if The People get fed up with their Liberal, Socialist, Dictatorial, BS and decide to enforce our Constitutional Rights by means other than the Voting Booth.
I sometimes wonder if the Liberal cretins, who apparently are completely out of touch with the reality of the American psyche and actually think that we will simply give in to their lunacy, are hoping that a violent confrontation will occur.
I'm afraid they will be unpleasantly surprised at the number of Americans who will not be subjugated and enslaved by them and their International cabal of Socialists.

I hope you're right but there are days I am not as optimistic that people will stand up.

Being retired gives me a lot of time to talk to people.
    And I do....
People from all walks of life.
Damn near everyone I know is fed up with the Liberal agenda of the "Bathhouse Barry" crowd and are willing to make a stand for their freedoms while we still have some of them.
The Liberals know that something is in the wind and are desperate to stifle it in any way they can.
Gun control is their preferred method of subjugation but I believe that they will stoop to any means to achieve their goals before the next Presidential election.
Eternal vigilance is our primary weapon to stop them.
