Rep. Michael Cloud (R-TX) reintroduced a bill which would require the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) to destroy firearm purchase records in their database.

"The Second Amendment is clear: the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed," said Cloud in a press release. "The Federal Government does not have the right to subject its law-abiding, citizen firearm owners to excessive scrutiny."

"My bill would dismantle ATF’s record keeping, restore privacy for American gun owners, and reverse the groundwork laid for the creation of a federal firearms registry."

According to Gun Owners of America director of federal affairs, the ATF "has no business maintaining nearly a billion gun and gun owner records in a digital, searchable database."

The database should never have even been built.

I'm hopeful, but not holding my breath.
Right now if every Republican shows up Republicans have the majority in the house and senate. The issue is the Biden veto.

Why introduce this type of bill when no way in hell will it pass? Even if passed, Braindead would veto it, geez. Introduce them when you have all the control to get it passed, Crap like this shows how much of a game that the whole political world is. A lot could have been done when Trump was in office and Rs had control of the House and Senate. This is what they mean when they say " we tried to make changes for the good "

Little Johnny was in his Kindergarten class when the teacher asked the children what their fathers did for a living.

All the typical answers came up - fireman, truck driver, salesman. Johnny was being uncharacteristically quiet, and so the teacher asked him about his father.

"My father's an exotic dancer in a gay cabaret and takes off all his clothes in front of other men. Sometimes, if the offer's really good, he'll go out to the alley with some screaming ****** and take it up the ***."

The teacher hurriedly set the other children to work on some colouring in and took little Johnny aside to ask him "Is that really true about your father?"

"No," said Johnny, "he's really an atf agent, but I was too embarrassed to say".

Let us not forget that IMPD confiscates all weapons that go to their property room for ANY REASON. Any vehicle tow, PI accident, victim of a crime, self defense use, etc.

IMPD Assistant Chief, Chris Bailey tells us that ALL of theses confiscations are documented in detail with the ATF, for their national database.

Many kudos to Richard Essex and WISH for their expose on this! :ingo:

It’s conceivable the bill could be folded in with a bill the president wants to sign.

Would never get out of Senate Committee. Schumer decides what proceeds for Senate Floor Vote. Would never get through Senate Cloture Rule. Biden would veto within seconds of reaching his desk.

    Bill is DOA.

Been watching this kind of thing for years, the left is very skilled at this. A bill is introduced several times, goes nowhere, it becomes unremarkable that it is introduced again and again, then all the sudden it is passed. How much crap have we conservatives watched go through this plan?

We need to support his type of tactics not malign them…

We must learn from our adversaries. It's all about the narrative. There will be losses along the way to victory.

How many short years ago was the insanity of the Green New Deal a possibility? Defund the Police? Open borders? Illegal aliens voting in US elections?
All these victories were just crazy ideas of folks who refused give up talking about their unheard of plans, over and over and over, until guess what...
