i considered it but i was informed its hard on barrels, im also still limited to factory ammo for the momentMy buddy that shoots 1000 yards regularly has a Bergara B-14 in 6.5 PRC. He loads his own.
I wouldn't expect any barrel to last too long when you need enough powder to push a decently weighted projectile to 1400 yards and keep it Trans sonic at a minimumi considered it but i was informed its hard on barrels, im also still limited to factory ammo for the moment
The two guys I shoot LR with both shoot Savage 338's one is stock and the other he had re-barreled by Stenski. its a 34" stainless with one of Stenskis brakes on it. It was money well spent!!!I'll stick with 338.
There isn't much in that game that isn't going to be expensive. Shooting out a barrel in a thousand rounds (or fewer) is literally part of the game when you're talking about accomplishing what you're wanting to accomplish.i considered it but i was informed its hard on barrels, im also still limited to factory ammo for the moment
