I bet that would **** my Wife off...

She did not like me Nuking Drives, CD's, and DVD's... :dunno:

Okay, that is not what it means when people say they are burning a CD or DVD.

As for the Ipod, it's fried, take it to the range and get some real entertainment out of it. Or try uncooked rice, haven't seen that suggested yet.:D

If you don't want to do the cheep rice option I run a test lab with low humidity drying ovens I can use to dry out your iPod. We charge $500 a day and test usually last 5 to 10 days.

Everyone says to put it in rice. This worked for my sister. However, my wife, thanks to pregnancy brain, ran her iPhone through a heavy load of towels in the washing machine. She immediately put the phone in rice and we left it in there for days. It was dead though. I took the iPhone apart but a lot of the connectors were corroded and some of the connectors where broke. Moral of the story, Tide wins in a fight against a iPhone.

So is this how much you would charge for an Ipod:dunno:
$500 will replace an Ipod a couple of times over.

Could not bring myself to read 6 pages of this. Did he try the rice or not?

Did anyone tell him to try putting rice in some kind of sealed containing system that locks out air;)

I can't recall that rice has been mentioned or not. Why do you ask such a silly question?! Rice cant possibly help dry out an Ipod.

Well here is the rest of the story. Looked for some rice the first night and I didn't have any in the house. Put it in my Excalibur dehydrator at 120 degrees and then bought rice the next morning. Place the iPod in a zip lock baggie of rice for a week. And this morning tried to turn it on and nothing. Thanks to everyone for their input. Oh and I bought a used iPod last Tuesday just in case.
