Well just to let everyone know I didn't end up buying either. I went to pss on the way home from work today and walked out with a new xdm 9 (to go with the 40 i have already) and a used but very mint sig p232 .380. Thanks for all the info I sure I will go with one of those gun in the very near future.

While I've had a G26 for years, well before my boating accident anyway and is my prefered gun of the two, the XD I had seemed to be a pretty good gun.
