    Not that fiat currency or your bank statement are all that solid.
    And when the gubmint says "We're going to a digital currency! It will be so much more efficient." There may not be a grace period to stock up on trade goods.

    Looters will be shot, irrespective of color. And "mostly peaceful" protestors will be put down with extreme prejudice. Ain't nobody got time for that.

    Population will fall by 1/3 in the first year and those left will be the extremely devious, and the hard, fast and ruthless.

    Something like 80 years ago they went to fiat money so they could print additional money to support more government programs. Anyone else tries printing extra money would be arrested for counterfeiting. How about when they tax the interest accumulated on your savings account? That is not income, it is maybe keeping up (if inflation is not going higher), but there was no gain. If the natural rate of interest were say 5% then a dollar today is worth a dollar and a nickle a year from now. But government follows Keynesian economics which has been proven to be pure malarkey but does support big government socialistic programs.
