    Painting America as racist, especially America's police and gov't, is very politically beneficial. This is not just true domestically, but also to some of our international power rivals. It undermines our marketing that we're about freedom and equality and it reduces trust in us and our institutions in both US and foreign citizens, reducing our ability to project power outward. The best propaganda is subtle, taking the truth and stretching or twisting it.
