    Where's the bacon?
Additionally, I would like to add that, as Scutter noted in post #9 of this wondrous thread, I think I would also like bacon con leche:

This reminds me of my all-time favorite beverage. A nice tall frosty mug of bacon grease. Mmmmmm!

I posted a poll in the forum "Shavemyface.com", another forum I belong to.

    This was the outcome:

I actually found a product called Bacon Salt. Three varieties, they add a great bacon flavor.

    Where's the bacon?
I think it's better, but I never knew that there was sliced bacon until I went into the navy. It comes in one piece and you have to slice it your self.

Will have to check more for that. I haven't found it at the stores where I shop (yet).

On a slightly different, perhaps somewhat heretical subject... Anyone ever, when not wanting to wake (or summon) the family with the smell of cooking bacon (and thus having to share!) satisfy the immediate Need-Which-Cannot-Be-Denied (for bacon. Duh.) by eating Bac-Os straight from the bottle?

It's a poor, poor substitute, but it usually serves when I'm jonesing for a bacon fix. <shrug>

BAC-OS ARE NOT BACON. Not even slightly.

    :mods:

On a not-at-all-related note, you can buy precooked bacon at most grocery stores that's at least edible. You can even warm it up in the microwave if you want. And yes, I've been known to eat bacon bits out of the jar (although not Bac-Os, those are nasty).

I would not find any Bac-Os in my house as they are
NOT BACON and could never substitute.
Yes, the thin, precooked microwavable stuff would get me by in a pinch. (I do keep some of that around;)) But even then it's like having pancakes when you know you deserve a Belgian waffle.

anybody ever try the shredded up bacon that comes in a zip lock style bag? I think they call it picnic bacon. I use it when I make potato skins, that stuff is like crack with icing on it...er or bacon with bacon on it. :):

and a biggo :+1:for potato skins....bacon,cheese, sour cream, more bacon maybe some green onion...oh yea :yesway:

Isn't Bac-Os made of the same ingredients as Play-Doh?
