I'm waiting for the police department to be overwhelmed by the mass CCW applications, supported by the mass death threat letters each CCW applicant will have received. They need to start a case and an investigation for every single CCW applicant that has received a death threat letter. After the police department ignores these, then will come the law suits from the few who will actually be attacked and make the obvious claim that if they had been granted the CCW this would not have happened. After the city is bankrupt from the citizens granting billions of dollars to the victims who were denied their ability to protect themselves, they can then follow the legal orders they were given. Some times one has to explain things, other times they need brute force to beat them over the head with the facts.

Well, Emily is finally (provisionally) licenced to carry her firearm in DC only 15 months after starting the application process. She is only the 15th person to get past all the restrictions that they have imposed and it took two direct threats on her life to meet the local police's "special needs" requirement.
