I say go for the super sniper. I have heard nothing but good about them. I think the lower magnification would be better as well. You'll spend less time saying "where the heck is the target?"
Yes. Way too much magnification. A nice 4 power will do you very good. Variable power scopes use to be not as good as fixed power, but you may look at those, if you haven't done so already.
What are you planning on using the scoped rifle for? Is this rifle being built to shoot tiny groups from a rest? Or for taking to a prairie dog shoot? Or is this a general purpose gun? Varmint (coyote) hunting?
nova, I checked out the monarch then decided on the buckmaster instead. the 3% light transmission advantage wasnt enough for me to want to pay the extra 100 bucks.
