How do you take people to jail? Just put 'em the back seat and get spit on and all of that? Is it just a regular seat back there too? What happens if a drunk pukes back there? ugh... There's almost no answer to those questions that doesn't end with "you guys need raises".

I'm pleased to report that I've only been in the back of a police car a single time and it was just for a courtesy ride. It was the full-on real deal back there though with the single piece molded plastic seat, plexi barrier, no door handles, etc. Scary AF for a couple of teenagers that just were getting a lift to a pay phone (circa... 1995-ish?).

The Sheriff staffs transport vans (for now). Sometimes we have to transport ourselves but never if the person is combative.

He is still in custody.
