The SSS sent me a letter, at my NEW address, telling me that I was required to submit my change of address. The letter told me where to get the form I was supposed to fill out, but they didn't include it with the letter.

This is the most government way of doing things that I can think of.

1981. Still have the paperwork they sent back. Mine has dog tooth marks from a German Shepard we had that hated the mail coming into the mail chute on the wall.

I graduated from high school, went to the Army recruiter, took all the tests, turned 18, recruiter took me to register for Selective Service and I got sworn in, all in a few days. My recruiter gave me valuable advice. Joining the Army turned out to be one of the best things to happen to me (since I survived combat in Viet Nam).

I enlisted in the army when I was 17.

After I got out someone told me that I was in trouble for not having registered with selective service.
