While I don't doubt that there were some rightwingers involved in the recent overthrow of Yanukovich's government, I doubt they are the ones currently in control. They, like many opportunists, see a chance to advance their warped agenda and have taken to the streets alongside the good people of the Ukraine. Same thing happens here, just ask Ron Paul.

US Sponsored ?Democracy?: A Tale of Two Protests. Ukraine and Thailand | Global Research

Most all of the protestors where Svoboda,or New Nazi party.Plenty of history and you can clearly see their flag is present at all of the protests. The third party(and minority of the protestors)was the Fatherland party, also a neo nazi group.

Oleksandr Turchynov(the now west supported president)is the head of the Svoboda party.

A little more back ground, and John Mcain's photo op with some neo nazi's a few weeks ago in Keiv that caused outrage in the Jewish community.

McCain has sometimes revealed a simplistic, Cold War viewpoint of Russia. You have to wonder if, by going to Ukraine and standing on stage with a man accused of being an anti-Semitic neo-Nazi, he may have shown that trait again.

NBC news top story is this. For sure a Russian invasion. I think they probably just want to secure their main sea port.

Why would we go into Ukraine? We don't care. If Russia eats the whole pie, we'll say "No, bad Russia, stop that" and it'll be the end of it.

Russia isn't as scary as you think. One of their biggest military successes in the cold war was convincing the US that their military had a lot more capabilities than it did. The whole LSD/hypnosis/sensory deprivation/mind control thing the CIA worked on? Its because the Russians tricked us into thinking they had it working. Nearly all of our estimates on the ranges of their missiles and bombers turned out to be exaggerated. The Soviet army was short range and better suited for defense than offense.

This may be the kick off of a frontier war and a civil war, its definitely the early stages of a failed state, but WWIII? Nah.
