Since there have not been any recent updates,I thought I would share.

10/2 applied and fingerprinted, local fees
10/4 Local Agency Transmit License Notification
11/14 (43 days) Pending ISP approval

I had a few hiccups on my record, but they were over 20 (almost 25) years ago, and all been expunged

Could anybody tell me what the average cost of the local fees are? I know they will vary, just wonder what the the round about cost are.
    Thank you

Can anyone explain to me why the local approval takes so long to approve? Just curious.. I am renewing for lifetime and I would figure the process would be somewhat quicker than what it is. Thank you!

That probably depends on your local law enforcement agency. I had to go to the Lake County Sheriffs and it was processed while I waited, about 15 minutes from handing them the paperwork to getting it back. Of course there was no one else in line when I went.

My wife and I decided to upgrade our soon to be expired 4 year LTCH to a Lifetime License. We got fingerprinted and did the local police background check on Friday December 27th. We had our new cards in our mailbox on Thursday Jan 2nd. That takes in account a weekend (the 28th & 29th) and New Years Eve & Day. That was super fast! Very impressed & pleased by the quick turnaround on the Lifetime License!

I have a buddy whose wife applied in Boone County back in December and still hasn't received it. I'm starting to wonder if they found something on her.
