That would be a tough one for me. I’m a GM fan having grown up in Flint,MI so I would tend to favor the Firebird in certain years only but I really liked the AMX’s. Tried to buy one back in the 70’s but couldn’t make it work.The AMX for me.

Camaros & Firebirds of that era have Always been some of my Favorite "Muscle Cars."
Never Drove an AMX & perhaps I shouldn't judge without the experience, but just never considered it Muscular.

Yeah, it was a lightweight car. Actually I would like a Javelin. My friend had a Javelin back in the 1979s. It had seen a lot of use and abuse before he bought it, but it still was awesome to drive. And it only had a 3-speed. 4-speed is ideal because you got the 100% no fail 1-2 shift. You really don't need more than that on the street, not if you are going to keep in the general ballpark of speed limits.Plus no back seat!
