Locally we have “The Red Barn” which is a former-farm-now-museum that displays agricultural items from the past of this part of Texas. It includes tractors and other machinery.

Last time I was there it also had some old fire trucks that had been used by local fire departments. At least I thought they were old until I noticed that I HAD PERSONALLY DRIVEN THAT PARTICULAR FIRE TRUCK AND NOW THE DAMN THING IS IN A MUSEUM!

The logo above “FIRE DEPT” used to say “SAND HILLS VOL”. I believe it said “CITY OF AUSTIN” before we got ahold of it. My VFD sold it to the local gentleman whose logo appears on it now (because he wanted to restore it) when we bought a newer used fire truck that used to belong to the US Air Force at Kelly Air Force Base. I guess the guy who restored it put it on loan to the Red Barn. Still, it was a bit of a shock to see a vehicle that I had used personally in a museum.
