I have an Apple iPhone. Today when I made a phone call it was automatically disconnected after 20 seconds. Same thing occurs when someone calls me. Phone call goes thru and 20 seconds later I'm disconnected.

I have no clue what happened. I don't think I changed anything. Anyone ever have this problem and if so, was there a solution/fix ?

    TIA IS

I'm going to ask the standard IT troubleshooting question.

Have you applied the latest update? Have you restarted the phone?

My daughter had similar issue recently. Update and reboot fixed it. Could have just been the reboot, not sure, but she went ahead and did both at the same time.

Also, try reinserting your Sim card.
Never touch the gold terminal pads with fingers either, that can cause conductivity issues. If the Sim card connections seem a little tarnished, use a new clean pencil eraser on them.

Do ONE thing at a time. Don't complicate your fix by trying multiple things, then not know what solved the issue.

    Reboot first.
If that doesn't do it, turn off for a longer period of time.
Then update and go through rebooting, etc.

There are likely more things to do, but I'm betting it'll fix by the above.

    Just talk faster!

Seriously though a friend had this happen a software update fixed it. Could be a sim card issue, but a lot of phones now don't have a physical Sim card they have an e-sim.

    Let me guess T mobile?
Restart your phone, mine was doing it also.
Service sucks since T mobile took over sprint, dead spots, no signal in a lot of places that were fine before.
Story was they shut down a bunch of towers, don't know if it was to redo them or eliminate them.
