In "Thank you, Guardian Angel!" news, a driver on I-94 in Wisconsin found himself skidding off an interchange ramp to plummet onto the highway 70 feet below. The footage is scary, but the driver walked away with their life, although "he suffered a broken back, neck and legs."

The news article then goes on to say that this was the second such incident last weekend (minus the 70 foot plunge). I wish the driver a speedy recovery!

Money saved by not putting in proper guard rails.

It appears that the vehicle landed right side up, which probably why he survived. Also great seats! It does appear to be a pickup truck. If so he is really lucky it landed on it's wheels.

You can see the moment when the airbags deploy...looks like a small internal explosion about 2/3rds of the way to the ground.

insane. I’d buy a lottery ticket.

Interesting. Does the airbag have GPWS*? It was a lot late for the deceleration of hitting the snow/retaining wall, but too early for hitting the ground.

*This is somewhat tongue in cheek...

Not exactly sure about GPWS, but there’s so many sensors in every part of the vehicles nowadays, it’s crazy. Even without an impact, it can set some of them off.

    “Turn right now!”

    “Re-calculating”
That made me laugh. I remember driving from Evansville to Indy on I-69 right after they opened the last section between Crane and E-vile. I turned on my GPS just to see how much faster it would be... the result was that it flipped out because it showed me driving through fields and across ditches.
