My deer rifle is a lever gun and whilst I sat in the deer blind last year a round got jammed, and I had to dig it out. It got me thinking about the knife y'all have I believe is called a "screw knife". As I dug it out I was telling my buddy how I need a screw knife.

I  could buy one, but I've been doing blacksmithing for several months now and I think I just wanna make one.

So I was hoping those of you with them can you post lots of pics and maybe measurements?

What do you like about yours, what do you not like? What would you change?

What would be the perfect one in your eyes?

    Thanks!!!

Was thinking about these again ....think I'll make one tomorrow or soon.

Didn't make one before bc busy learning to be a better smith.

Anyone got close up pics? Measurements?

    How sharp are they typically?

I had never heard of a “screw knife” before. After looking it up just now, my brother carried a very similar knife a long time ago. It was indeed handy for quick and sloppy screw turning, general picking things apart tasks, and the occasional cutting.
