Back in the days when I had a 10 foot dish with a Video cypher box, I always ordered my programming ala carte.
I liked it a lot more than today's little dishes.
So it could be done by today's little dish providers IF they chose to.

I watch very little television, and over 90% of what I do watch is time-shifted for convenience. Streaming is too equipment and subscription dependent to provide what I want at a price point and a level of convenience that I desire
