I just read this thread through today. I do not support using troops for law enforcement as a rule. This seems like a situation that local law enforcement was very busy and needed man power and asked for help. MP's from a nearby base is better than Joe Blow from the local diner.

Hitler was elected to office much the same way Hillary Clinton was elected Sec. of State. (There is a statement that is incorrect back in this thread somewhere)
