I have some 270 ammo and some old shotgun shells (16 ga) that I got from my grandpa. I am trying to see if there is any value to this ammunition (especially the shotgun shells) from a collector standpoint. The shells appear to be paper cased and the box is very old but intact.

Does anyone know of anybody who deals in this type of stuff?

    Thanks!

Yes there are people who collect that sort of thing. They can be found at just about any gun show. I am a shooter so I would shoot them.

I will probably take the 1500 this weekend and check there. Thanks! If anyone else knows of someone, please let me know. I know there is not a whole lot of value, but I would rather see them go to someone who collects this sort of thing than just discard.

When it comes to shot shells the box is the most valuable part, but having original shells with it increases value. Rifle ammo worth the most with a full box. If the 1500 doesn't work try gunbroker.

Tried to sell at the 1500 but no one was there buying old ammo. Found one guy trying to sell some but no one buying. Guess I will check out Gunbroker (though it pains me to go there)!!! :)
