I recently had to use my T-shirt to make a wound wrap and tourniquet.

It got me thinking - what all could you make out of a t-shirt when shtf?

If its complex, include instructions or pictures.

Used the sleeves to wipe a few times while out hunting . I have filtered water through 'em before. Could be used for bandages, turn-a-kits(SP?)...strips used to tie on splints for broken limbs...
Hope the tourniquet wasn't really necessary... or are you the feller that had the ND awhile back?

    1) Once you get a fire started, tear strips and make char cloth for the future.

    2) Tie the head opening shut with the sleeves and use it as a bag.

    3) Use it as a signal, either to attract friendlies, or distract enemies.

    4) Tear it in strips, dip in alcohol or pitch, and make a torch.

    5) Molotov cocktail anyone?

    6) Use strips to mark your trail to keep from getting lost.

    Whats an ND?

Yes the tourniquet was 100% necessary. The person that was involved almost lost her leg on Mothers day. I still see "it" every morning I wake up.

    Joy.

Maybe I should rename the thread 101 uses for a t-shirt other than wearing it.

    Keep em coming!
