Today my wife and I had our first little one. Hopefully he will grow up and love the shooting sports just like his dad. Now the search is on for a new gun!!! Just had to share with everyone.

Congrats! I will admit that I thought you were saying that someone joined the site and instantly did something that was going to get them banned...hence the dreaded "shooter status"

Congratulations! Life will never be quite the same .. mostly in a good way.

It had better be a pretty small gun .. he'll have trouble with the trigger :)

Congratulations on your newly-enlarged family and your newly kershrunk wallet.

Just always remember that boys are easier to raise: Only one zipper to worry about. ;)

Despite the one you just got, I will sign out wishing my usual...

    Blessings,
    Bill

    Congrats, 1911Shooter!

I would think about starting the little guy out on a 22. Might have to use 2 hands for awhile, but he will evidently get the hang of it.

Of course you could start him out with a 10/22. Until he can sit up by himself he will have to shoot from the prone position.
