It claims to be 308 brass necked to 45 cal that you reload with 460 S+W die set and a 308 shell holder and uses 460 data. Has any one figured out how to chamber it in a Savage rifle ??? It was designed for the AR 10 and their website says the chamber is slightly different than rimless 460, because intended for use in an auto. It would head space on case mouth like a pistol round. So do any of you experts think there is a more economical way to chamber a savage rifle in this than buying a custom reamer. Is there a round that's .a straight .478 for deeper than 1.8'' that could just be short chambered??? Custom reamers are expensive when single use is in mind.
