If you are looking for quiet, try 22 CB caps long, they are as long as 22 long rifle loads, but the velocity is about 750 fps. They will feed just like 22LR, but are much slower and are pretty quiet.I'm not sure about the airgun vs 22 short part, but if you decide you want something that can shoot 22 shorts, I would suggest that you might as well get a rifle that's designed to shoot 22 long rifle, 22 long AND 22 shorts. For example, a lever action 22LR like a Henry. I have one and it shoots 22LR, 22 long, and 22 shorts accurately and without any issues.
22LR being much easier to find than 22 short, it'd be handy to have the capability to shoot both even if you're only interested in the shorts right now.
I disagree on length of . 22 long and ability to feed like a .22lr. The longs are a bit shorter and will not feed properly in a Ruger Mark pistol or 10\22 rifle. They will feed ok in a bolt action like the Ruger American rimfire. If you are looking for quiet, try 22 CB caps long, they are as long as 22 long rifle loads, but the velocity is about 750 fps. As mentioned though, probably not stout enough to cycle a semi-auto. They're quieter than my .22 pellet gun out of a long-barreled bolt action though. If you are looking for quite 22s try Aguila Super Colibri primer powered 20 grain cartridges.
I dont have a chinese vehicle ? LOLOrder some diesel filters from China. Just kidding...
If you are asking about the Aguila Super Colibri, the answer is yes. Yours has the 20.5" barrel, correct? Super Colibris will be fine. The Colibris may/may not clear the barrel. These rounds are ok to run thru my CZ 457 MTR ?

I was wondering what is louder , a 22 short sound or a air rifle sound? I heard that these pellet rifles are as loud as a 22 short or louder? Has anybody checked that out ? I am looking at a pellet rifle but if sound is the same volume, I might as well get the 22 short rifle.
