Gotta tell you that the GSG1911 is about the most fun you can have with your clothes on...
German Sport Guns GmbH - GSG-1911

That GSG1911 looks like fun. My GSG 5 (.22lr MP5 clone) is wicked fun, so GSG apparently knows what they're doing. They make a pistol version (GSG-5P) as well.

I had a Ruger Mk III 22/45 and while it was accurate, I found it dull to shoot. It just wasn't for me, I guess.

Yeah the RUGER can get dull, cause you're always hitting the target, it's accuracy is so boring, that you wish to miss the target at least once:rolleyes::D

It wasn't the accuracy, I just didn't find the act of shooting it to be fun. It's hard to explain. There was nothing wrong with the pistol and I certainly wouldn't steer someone away from buying one. I sold mine shortly after buying it, though.

I had a WALTHER OSP 22 short, I sold, cause I couldn't shoot it as good as the RUGER MARK II:dunno: Have a friend with a SIG MOSQUITO & it's a jammer,:( told him to send it back to SIG

I never liked the Mosquito either. The trigger pull was way heavier than a .22 should be. I understand people like them as cheap trainers for their Sig carry pistols, though, because the frame and controls are the same.

My wife has a Walther P22 and it is ok for what it is. Fun little plinker and nice training gun. But my Browning Buckmark shoots rings around the P22. No comparison in my mind. I have had Rugers in the past as well. But the Browning is still my favorite.

I have a P22, Heritage Rough Rider 22 revolver and a Firestorm 22. The Firestorm is my favorite of the three, with the Rough Rider coming in second. The Firestorm is basically a Bersa Thunder 380 in 22lr. It's a 10 round capacity gun which I think is pretty much the norm.

Our P22 is fun to shoot, but it tough to hit anything with. Also, the zinc slide does not feel like something that will last my lifetime. I don't recall what the warranty is like on the Walther, but I'm guessing it's not lifetime. The Firestorm (Same gun as the Bersa 22) does have a lifetime warranty.

If you want magazine capacity you could look at the Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22 pistol. 25 rounds. I have the rifle and love it.

I really like my Sig Mosquito. 9 times out of 10 it comes with me to the range since it is fun to shoot and very accurate.

Some of you may find this laughable. My favorite .22 pistol is my H&R 922. I picked it up for only 50 bucks and it holds 9 rounds. It has a horrible double action but the single action makes it very accurate.
